Bound Angel, features found objects in the shape of female angels, including figurines of small girls, the Virgin Mary, classical and pornographic nudes, snow globes, candle holders, nightlights, lamps, soap dispensers, and more. Organized on a large oval dining table, covered in a tablecloth of used wedding dresses, the entire sculpture forms the shape of a bound and faceless bride. Beginning with the lamp cords, many of the figurines have been bound emphasizing societal constants marketed to and placed on women.

In this piece a sexualized female mannequin's body is smothered with kitsch ‘boob’ mugs, bound to each other with pantyhose, contemplating commodified ideas of female objectification.

 

Functional Woman (Size: 70in high x 62in wide x 80in deep), found utilitarian objects in the form of women or women’s body parts, dresser, fabric & table. 2016.

This sculpture is composed of found objects that are functional and in the form of women or women’s body parts. These objects are assembled together to form the shape of a woman.
