Canopic Ire, which roughly translates to “bottled-up contempt,” is the manifestation of ideas collected by Richard Carson. I’ve been drawing for years as a means of escapism. The project is cathartic and works as a visual accompaniment to the music of my band, Unyielding Love, which is working on a new record. I’ve always admired artists and musicians who strive to put forward totally honest work, and I’m hoping I can achieve that as well. I’ve also become enthralled with tattooing and what it represents to me.
